The Vancouver Housing Authority creates many types of housing, each with the goal of building a stronger and more affordable community. VHA is recognized throughout the United States as an innovator in affordable housing.
Housing created by the VHA includes
- Subsidized housing for seniors and families
- Affordable non-subsidized apartments, such as First Street Apartments, to maintain a balance of affordable housing near jobs
- Mixed-use developments, such as Esther Short Commons in downtown Vancouver and Anthem Park in Uptown Village, help revitalize communities with a mixture of housing and businesses.
- Housing, such as Arbor Ridge Assisted Living for frail seniors and Lincoln Place for vulnerable homeless individuals, were created to fill special needs in our community.
- Homeless shelters
